If you use Fulonimation Studio’s Toothless model, you may be wishing he had his distinctive missing fin!
I’ve modelled, textured, and rigged this automatic tail fin from How To Train Your Dragon 3. It opens, closes, and more!
Model creation started 12/04/2024 and finished 02/07/2024. When I first began, I believed I would be able to finish it before 20/04/2024- that was in 6 days. That didn’t sure happen 😂
I added a ‘fire-proof’ scale mixture texture made from a noise node, and the tail loop is fitted with straps (much like the one on a watch). I actually I modelled them off my own watch! The clips and bolts create the illusion of connecting the cloth to the loop.
Basically, there’s a lot of detail in that model!
The .blend file includes Toothless as well, to save you having to connect the rigs (the hardest part!!). If you want to download just Toothless, you can do that from here https://ko-fi.com/s/a07b4ec9da.
